Follow these steps if you want to migrate your data to a new Jira cloud site. Your source and destination cloud sites must be under the same organization.

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com and select the organization that your new site will be created under.

  2. Select Products in the top navigation menu.

  3. Select Add product.

  4. From the Select site screen, select New site.

  5. From the Select product screen, select the Jira product you want to add. If you want to add more than one product, you can add them after the site is created.

  6. Enter a Site name. This name will be part of the URL that will appear in the dropdown list for the destination cloud site when you create your migration.

  7. Click Start trial.

Make sure you have the same Jira products in your source and destination sites, regardless of the type of projects you want to migrate. This is required so users and groups can migrate successfully. If there is a product you don’t want to use after migrating, set up a free trial for that product, then deactivate the trial after your migration is complete.
